Cycling titanium bolts are machined from Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V — the same alloy used in aerospace and medical implants. At roughly 4.44 g/cm³, it is about 43 % lighter than steel (7.85 g/cm³) with comparable tensile strength, making it the best strength-to-weight option for replacing stock steel fasteners.
