The Darimo Nexum is a Spanish-made integrated handlebar known for its extreme light weight and slim aero profile. The TiNE titanium computer mount for the Nexum weighs 12.6g for the standard version and 20.1g for the 1050 Edition. The standard weight matches the Deda Alanera and Pinarello MOST Talon My25, but the 1050 Edition is slightly heavier — 0.3g above the Alanera's 19.8g and 0.6g above the BMC Slr01's 19.7g. Why is the 1050 Edition heavier than other 12.6g bars?
The Nexum's slim aero profile means the 1050 Edition needs a different reinforcement approach. The bar's narrow center section offers less surface area for the reinforced panel to anchor to, so the 1050 Edition uses a slightly larger support structure to maintain rigidity under a large head unit. The standard version does not need this reinforcement, which is why it matches the 12.6g of other bars. The extra 0.3–0.6g in the 1050 Edition is the cost of stability on a narrow platform.
What is the difference between Nexum and Nexum Drag mounts?
Darimo offers two integrated bars: the Nexum (slim aero) and the Nexum Drag (wider aero profile optimized for drag reduction). The TiNE mounts are different for each — the Nexum Drag mount weighs 12.3g standard / 19.6g 1050, which is 0.3g lighter than the Nexum. The Drag bar's wider center section paradoxically allows a lighter mount, because the wider surface provides more contact area and reduces the need for additional clamp material. The two mounts are not interchangeable.
Which head units does the standard version support?
Any head unit up to 89mm in length. This covers the Garmin Edge 540, 840, Wahoo Bolt V2, and Hammerhead Karoo. The 1050 Edition at 20.1g is needed for units over 89mm — primarily the Garmin Edge 1050 and similar large-format devices. The 89mm threshold is consistent across all 48 TiNE mount models.
Can I mount a GoPro or light?
Yes. The detachable under-mount weighs 3.8g and supports a GoPro action camera or a front light. The under-mount is specific to the Nexum bar profile and will not fit the Nexum Drag or other Darimo models.
