The Roval seatpost yoke — the saddle rail clamp assembly under the seatpost head — weighs 49.7 g in stock form. TiNE's titanium yoke set replaces it at 20.8 g, saving 28.9 g at the highest point on the frame.
28.9 g removed from the saddle position. The Roval seatpost yoke sits directly under the saddle rails — the highest point on the bike. The stock alloy yoke at 49.7 g is a substantial mass for a clamp assembly, and TiNE's 20.8 g replacement removes more than half of it. For Roval seatpost riders on Specialized bikes with Rapide or Alpinist wheels, this is the most impactful single-part titanium upgrade available.
Three components replace the entire stock alloy yoke:
2 titanium screws — Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V, CNC-machined, handling saddle rail clamping force. Titanium resists corrosion far better than stock steel bolts in the saddle zone, a high-splash area exposed to sweat and road spray on every ride.
1 carbon fiber base plate — replaces the heavy alloy casting, lighter and structurally stiff. The carbon layup is specific to the Roval seatpost head profile.
2 7075 aluminum yoke arms — CNC-shaped to match the Roval seatpost head geometry. Not shared with other TiNE yoke versions.
The TiNE yoke set is designed for:
Roval seatpost (stock yoke 49.7 g) — TiNE saves 28.9 g.
Roval seatposts are found on Specialized bikes equipped with Rapide or Alpinist wheel systems. The Roval seatpost head has a specific geometry that differs from the Specialized Tarmac SL7/SL8 seatpost clamp. Confirm your stock yoke weight before ordering — if your Roval seatpost uses a different yoke assembly than the 49.7 g version, the TiNE set may not fit.
| Seatpost System | Stock Weight | TiNE Weight | Savings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Roval (49.7 g stock) | 49.7 g | 20.8 g | ~28.9 g |
| Colnago (83.1 g stock) | 83.1 g | 20.3 g | ~62.8 g |
| Colnago Y1RS/V5RS (66 g stock) | 66 g | 20.8 g | ~45.2 g |
| Quick Pro ER One (64.7 g stock) | 64.7 g | 22.5 g | ~42.2 g |
| Cervelo S5 (61.8 g stock) | 61.8 g | 21.4 g | ~40.4 g |
| Pinarello (54.4~60 g stock) | 54.4~60 g | 22.1 g | 32.3~37.9 g |
| EXS (32.2 g stock) | 32.2 g | 19.1 g | ~13.1 g |
| Darimo (28.9 g stock) | 28.9 g | 17.9 g | ~11.0 g |
The Roval yoke sits in the middle of the TiNE yoke savings range — less than the heavy-hitters like Colnago (62.8 g) or Cervelo S5 (40.4 g), but more than the lighter systems like EXS (13.1 g) or Darimo (11.0 g). The 58% reduction ratio (28.9 g from 49.7 g) is comparable to Pinarello's 55~63%. For Roval seatpost riders — typically on Specialized bikes with Rapide or Alpinist wheelsets — the yoke upgrade is the single highest-impact titanium component swap available, removing nearly 29 g from the saddle position.
