The TiNE titanium computer mount lineup spans 48 handlebar models. At the light end, the Enve SES Aero Pro weighs 9.7g. At the heavy end, the Colnago Y1RS reaches 19.3g. The BMC Slr01 integrated handlebar mount sits at 12.7g for the standard version and 19.7g for the 1050 Edition — squarely in the middle of the range. But "middle" does not mean average in a way that matters. The 3g gap from the lightest mount is real, and the 6.6g gap to the heaviest is also real. Here is what drives those differences.

Weight Comparison: BMC Slr01 vs Neighbors

The weight of a titanium computer mount is determined almost entirely by the clamp interface — the shape and dimensions of the handlebar's center section where the mount attaches. Bars with narrow, round profiles need smaller clamps (lighter). Bars with wide, flat, or aero-shaped profiles need larger clamps with more material (heavier). The BMC Slr01 bar has a moderately wide aero profile, which places it in the 12–13g band alongside several other integrated bars.

The BMC Slr01 is within 0.1g of the Deda Alanera and Pinarello MOST Talon My25 — three bars with similar aero profile widths. The 3g gap to the Enve SES Aero Pro reflects the difference between a compact round-section bar and a moderate aero bar, not a design flaw.

Standard vs 1050: Which One

The 1050 Edition at 19.7g adds a reinforced panel to support head units longer than 89mm — the Garmin Edge 1050 being the primary candidate. The clamp interface, under-mount attachment, and overall shape are identical between the two versions. The 7g difference comes entirely from the additional material in the 1050 Edition's support structure. If your head unit is 89mm or shorter, the standard version at 12.7g is the right choice.

Under-Mount and Build Quality

The detachable under-mount weighs 3.8g and supports a GoPro action camera or a front light. The mount is specific to the BMC Slr01 bar profile and will not fit other BMC models or aftermarket bars. Like all TiNE computer mounts, the Slr01 version uses topology optimization — material placed only where structural loads demand it — and is CNC machined from Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V.
