If you are running SRAM RED AXS and considering a titanium hardware swap, the first question is usually straightforward: what exactly does the kit cover? The TiNE SRAM RED AXS titanium bolt kit replaces steel fasteners across four subsystems — shifters, brake calipers, rear derailleur, and crank — for a total reduction of 61.3 g.
Both left and right levers. The stock steel bolts inside the shifter bodies weigh 23.8 g combined. The titanium replacements come in at 11.4 g, saving 12.4 g from the highest point on the handlebar.
The brackets that mount each shifter to the handlebar. Stock SRAM RED rings are cast aluminum at 32.4 g per pair. TiNE replaces them with CNC titanium V-profile rings at 9.6 g, saving 22.8 g. This is the single largest saving in the entire kit.
The front caliper mount — the bracket that bolts the caliper to the fork or frame. The TiNE titanium front caliper mount weighs 7.5 g versus approximately 14 g stock, saving roughly 5.5 g. This component uses a sunk-screw design for the SL8 and S5-specific variant.
The DUB crank cap that threads into the non-drive side of the crank arm. Stock is 16.1 g; the TiNE titanium version is 10.5 g, saving 5.6 g. The cap includes its mounting hardware as a set.
The pivot bolt on the SRAM RED rear derailleur. Stock weight is approximately 5.2 g; the TiNE titanium replacement drops this further. This is a small saving individually but it is the last steel fastener on the derailleur body.
| Position | Stock | TiNE | Saved |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shifter bolts (pair) | 23.8 g | 11.4 g | 12.4 g |
| Clamp rings (pair) | 32.4 g | 9.6 g | 22.8 g |
| Front caliper mount | ~14 g | 7.5 g | ~5.5 g |
| DUB crank cap | 16.1 g | 10.5 g | 5.6 g |
| Rear derailleur pivot | ~5.2 g | — | — |
| Total groupset | 139 g | 77.7 g | 61.3 g |
Every steel fastener in the RED AXS groupset, accounted for. The kit is a single purchase that covers every position listed above — no need to buy subsystem kits separately unless you want to upgrade incrementally.
Tip: If you prefer to upgrade in stages, start with the clamp rings (biggest single saving at 22.8 g) and add the rest over time. All subsystem pieces are available individually.
All hardware is CNC machined from Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V titanium and anodized in eight colors: gold, blue, rainbow, silver, black, pink, green, and multi-color. Standard hex installation throughout, no special tools required.
