Which Team Livery Roval Rapide Carbon Stem Cap Should You Run?

The Roval Rapide stem cap is the one piece that looks out of place on an otherwise premium build. The bar is carbon, the stem is carbon, and then there's a small plastic cap holding the steerer bolt at the top. Quick-Step, DFJ, Red Bull, and SD Worx Liveries

All four caps are real carbon fiber with embedded team livery graphics — not stickers, not paint over plastic. Why Carbon + Titanium Instead of All-Carbon

The Quick-Step and DFJ caps use a titanium M6 bolt to clamp the cap down on the steerer. This is the same bolt that holds the stem faceplate, and metal-on-metal under the faceplate is what gives the assembly its stiffness. The Red Bull and SD Worx caps use a bonded carbon clamp instead — lighter, but with slightly different preload characteristics. Both designs are validated for road and racing use.

Fit and Stack Compatibility

All four caps fit the Tarmac SL8 and SL9 with Roval Rapide or Roval Aipinist cockpit. The cap sits in the same position as the stock plastic piece — no frame modification, no spacer stack change, no stem swap required. It installs in under a minute with a 4 mm hex key.

The four liveries are visually distinct enough to mix across different riders' bikes in the same household, or to coordinate with team kit on race day. The 5.9 g / 3.7 g / 4.0 g weights are all significant drops from the stock plastic cap.
