But for riders building a weight-conscious bike with full internal routing, the hanger is a component worth reconsidering.

The Eclos titanium derailleur hanger is designed specifically for fully internally routed frames, compatible with all major drivetrain systems, and available in eight anodized colors. More importantly, the weight varies significantly by frame brand — from 11.7g to 21.2g — because each frame requires a different hanger geometry.

Weight by Frame Brand: A 9.5g Spread

The weight difference between the lightest and heaviest Eclos hanger is 9.5g — nearly the weight of an entire water bottle cage bolt set. This is not a quality difference; it is a geometric one. The Cervelo S5 hanger requires a more complex shape to accommodate the frame's aerodynamic integration, while the Specialized version has a more compact profile.

The Pinarello Dogma is an interesting case: the 2025 F-model hanger is 6.5g lighter than the standard Dogma hanger (12.4g vs 18.9g). The updated frame geometry allows a more compact hanger design, making the 2025 version the second-lightest in the range.

UDH Compatibility: One Standard, Many Frames

The Eclos hanger is available for frames marked "UDH Compatible" — the Universal Derailleur Hanger standard that SRAM has been pushing across the industry. At 16.3g, the UDH version sits in the middle of the weight range and fits any frame built to this standard. If your frame has a UDH designation, this is the version you need.

Topology-Optimized, Not Just Machined

Unlike a standard CNC-machined hanger, the Eclos uses topology optimization — material is placed only where structural loads require it, and removed where it does not. The result is a bionic, organic shape that looks unlike any hanger you have seen before. The process reduces weight without sacrificing stiffness or durability.

Each hanger is CNC machined from Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V and available in eight anodized colors. The hanger is compatible with Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo drivetrain systems. More frame brand weights will be added as they become available.
