SRAM RED AXS Titanium Bolt Kit Weight: TiNE 77.7 g vs Stock 139 g (61.3 g Saved)

The TiNE SRAM RED eTap AXS titanium bolt kit replaces every steel fastener on the wireless groupset — from shifter hose bolts to crankset hardware — weighing 77.7 g versus 139 g stock, saving 61.3 g total on a bike with a standard flat-mount brake adapter.

61.3 g saved — roughly the weight of a full water bottle. RED AXS wireless shifting eliminates cables; TiNE eliminates 61.3 g of steel fasteners. The front disc brake mount alone drops 5.5 g on a single component swap, and the crank bolts save 4.1 g on a part most riders rarely touch.

Key Questions About the SRAM RED AXS Bolt Kit

Where does the 61.3 g saving come from?

The largest single saving is the front disc brake mount: 5.5 g from swapping a 12 g steel flat-mount adapter to a 6.5 g titanium one. Crankset bolts save 4.1 g (11.2 g to 7.1 g). The rear derailleur pivot bolt saves 2.7 g (5.2 g to 2.5 g). Shifter hose bolts save 2.4 g total across both shifters. The remaining ~47 g comes from smaller bolt swaps across caliper hose bolts, derailleur limit bolts, and other minor fasteners throughout the groupset.

Does this kit work with SRAM Force or Rival AXS?

No. This kit is designed specifically for RED eTap AXS. Force and Rival AXS use different bolt geometries, different derailleur body shapes, and different crank interfaces. Mixing RED titanium bolts with Force or Rival components will result in incorrect fit and potential safety issues. TiNE makes separate kits for each SRAM tier.

What about the flat-mount vs post-mount brake difference?

The 61.3 g total saving applies to a standard flat-mount brake configuration, which is what most RED AXS bikes use. Post-mount bikes use a different front brake adapter bolt, and the saving at the brake mount position will be slightly different. The majority of the savings (crank bolts, derailleur pivot, shifter hose bolts) remain the same regardless of brake mount type.

Can I combine this with TiNE's SL9 frame bolt kit?

Yes. The SRAM RED AXS bolt kit covers groupset fasteners (shifters, calipers, derailleur, crank). The SL9 frame bolt kit covers frame-specific fasteners (seatpost clamp, front derailleur mount, water bottle cage bolts, top cap). The two kits are complementary and overlap-free — together they cover virtually every bolt on a Specialized Tarmac SL9 with RED AXS.

Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V, CNC machined, 8 anodized colors (gold, blue, rainbow, silver, black, pink, green, multi). The anodized surface prevents thread galling into aluminum frames and keeps threads clean through repeated brake-bleed procedures and seasonal bolt checks.
